VR traffic applications development

I was responsible to write a Unity script to accept traffic simulation data simulated by VISSUM software and created a complete vehicle driving scene.

​Each vehicle follows the accurate line simulated by the VISSUM. The road model comes from the real airport road in Xiangxi.

By doing so, the game engine can simulate the real traffic condition of the road under construction. Therefore, traffic engineers can wear VR helmets to evaluate the road design from the first perspective, so as to avoid the problems in road design (For example, some road landscape design will block the view of drivers).

The engineer could find some defects in road design. For example, he found that the Road turning sign is so close to the crossing so that drivers may not see the sign immediately. Besides, the wall in front of the T-junction should be removed to protect the view of drivers.
